Live Tobacco Free

Phalcon, Ltd. encourages all of its employees to live tobacco free.  Our policy is 100% tobacco free buildings, warehouses, and company vehicles at each Phalcon company.  Each location has designated smoking areas and break times in an effort to decrease workday interruptions and increase the comfort of our non-smokers.   The air we breathe in should be clean and smoke-free.

Secondhand smoke is classified as a “known human carcinogen” by the US Environmental Protection Agency, the US National Toxicology Program, and the International Agency for Research on Cancer, a branch of the World Health Organization.  Tobacco smoke is a mixture of gases and particles. It contains more than 7,000 chemical compounds. More than 250 of these chemicals are known to be harmful, and at least 69 are known to cause cancer.

The Phalcon Wellness Program offers resources to ALL employees to aid in you kicking the habit.  Check with your local wellness committee members / HR Personnel for more information.

Why quit smoking or using smokeless tobacco?

Smoking is the most important preventable cause of premature death in the United States.

Smoking increases the risks of coronary heart disease directly and indirectly by decreasing tolerance for physical activity and increasing the tendency for blood to clot.  Smoking also decreases your HDL (good) cholesterol.

Resources Available Through Cigna

Our health insurance policy has many free smoking cessation resources available to anyone covered on our policy including coaching, nicotine replacement therapies, and community support.  Learn more about these resources in this flyer:  Cigna Tobacco Cessation Customer Flyer then visit to get started.  Enroll in their ‘Commit to Quit’ coaching program and you’ll be eligible for numerous free resources and therapies to aid you in your quitting.

If you’re not on our Cigna plan we encourage you to check with your own health insurance carrier for benefits available through them.  Most insurers will offer some sort of tobacco cessation programs.  A wellness committee member can help you navigate your carrier website or policy if you need assistance.
